![]() i think it was called thunderbolt 12 Alternative-Ordinary 1 yr. there is/was a place in southside, but they're electric karts. ago They moved from their place on carolina avenue to an outdoor location pre-covid, but i don't think it ever caught on after the move. They also offer a membership program with reduced prices if you come here often. 16 27 comments Best LevarGotMeStoney 1 yr. I would definitely come back if I lived here. There is also an area to play paintball, but we did not try it. They are on a screen outside the game area. You will be able to see the totals only once you finish the match. If you hit someone, the vest will tell you "good job" and you will score some points. You then will have 5 seconds to seek cover before your vest becomes active again. If you get hit, your vest with turn off the lights and makes a powering down sound. The place is not completely dark and there are some Wood's lights and some flood lights. There is also loud music playing so that can't hear other people moving. You have 10 minutes to hit the opponents as much as you can and score more points. They give you a vest that has sensors in the front, back and shoulders and a gun connected to it that you need to hold with both hands or it won't shoot. This is a classic one with a game area on two floors and obstacles like in a labyrinth. And I also wished the prices were cheaper. I just wish it was longer though and there were some qualification laps before the actual race, instead there was no qualification laps and we raced as soon as we got the ok to go. ![]() I asked to have a race suit to avoid smelling like exhaust fumes after the race, but they said it was not necessary. They then give you a helmet, a thick neck band to protect your neck in case of hit and a head cover to use under the helmet. ![]() Before racing they do a briefing explaining the different flags that they can use. The vehicles have protections around the wheels, so that in case of accident you don't damage the kart itself. Video was done in collaboration with Guns, Cars, and Zombies mobile app. I think their engines are fun and fast enough for a small track. ![]() Before anything, they will ask you to register on a computer and sign a liability waiver. F1 cars at least get the luxury of sitting in a custom-molded cocoon to withstand the G forces, karters get a little flap of fiberglass.A friend and I came here after dinner. 1.5 G is a shitload whether people realize it or not, that's 1.5x your body weight pressed up against a cafeteria lunchroom seat, that's nothing to scoff at. The problem is people just want to say what sounds cool rather than what an honest number really is. I've been in a rental kart with so much grip it would go up on two wheels in a hairpin, but to be fair that was because it had oil soaked into the tires and that acts like a tire prep. Then again, higher track use with more rubber laid down would make a big difference as well, both with the Rotax and rental kart. I should also note that there are softer tires out there than what I was running, MG Greens would probably add a little bit more G force. ![]() Likewise, the rental kart G's are probably like 1.2-1.3 sustained with peaks of 1.5+ G. When one of the car magazines subjected a shifter kart to a standard lateral G test (Motor Trend? Road and Track? Car and Driver? One of those.) they got 1.5 G sustained, which is about what my video would support since jolts above 2 are more from the rocking of the kart and bumps than true handling G's. There is one 3G peak somewhere in that lap for all of 1 frame, but it's not a sustained grip. Aktualizuj sterowniki i optymalizuj ustawienia w swoich grach. ![]()
